"All That Glitters, All That Flickers" is a moving image work that explores the mechanics of nostalgia through mid century futuristic design and the layered temporalities of media, from 16mm film, DV, and VHS to digital imagery. Reflecting on the circulation of American modernity’s visual language across cultures, the work traces afterimage, impermanence, and emotional residue through a media archaeological approach and an expanded sense of vanitas.
